Career Planning For Young People With Disabilities is a collection of case studies that were developed to demonstrate the experiences of young people with disability and a range of strategies to support these individuals in their personal career planning and management. Most of these cases have been inspired by participants associated with the CEAV Career Counselling Australia (CCCA),and the Building Ability through Career Management (BACM) program.
These video clips were designed to raise awareness, educate career professionals and promote the career planning journey and employment of young people with disability. They were designed for teaching purposes within community agencies, TAFE colleges, higher education providers and schools, to assist career practitioners support the career planning for young people with disabilities. The video resources can be used for professional development of NDIS support workers in career planning for young people with disabilities. The videos raise community awareness of young people with disabilities and their aspirations to gain, secure and maintain open employment.
